Sandra Deveny, MD

Part-time provider.

Sandy grew up in an Air Force family, traveling the globe, but she always considered Colorado home. Sandy was thrilled to join Mountain Family in 2008, moving from Akron, Ohio. Prior to that she had worked in various emergency departments and urgent care facilities in Ohio. She also worked with Dr. B.S. Bonyo in his inner-city office and was instrumental in developing a health clinic in Dr. Bonyo’s Kenyan village. Sandy is co-founder of Bonyo’s Kenya Mission, a 501c3 dedicated to ongoing support of the clinic and a growing child educational sponsorship program. Sandy attended University of Texas in Austin for her undergraduate degree, competing in cross country and track. She then completed her medical degree at The Medical College of Ohio and residency in emergency medicine at St. Vincent Medical Center/The Toledo Hospital. She is board certified in Emergency Medicine and primarily does acute care at Mountain Family. Sandy is also a designated civil surgeon approved to carry out immigration medical examinations. When not working, Sandy enjoys all the activities the area has to offer.
