Mountain Family Health Centers is recognized as a Hispanic Advocacy Center of Excellence (HACE.) HACE, a new iteration of NACHC’s Advocacy Center of Excellence (ACE), is an initiative to institutionalize grassroots advocacy at health centers by engaging Hispanic patients and community members in advocacy and giving them a role in the health center movement.

Our goal is to be inclusive of all cultures and demographics. Being designated as a HACE is a testament to our efforts to provide educational materials in both English and Spanish to ensure our message reaches as many of our patients as possible. We encourage people to enlist in the Advocacy Network (http://www.hcadvocacy.org/ or http://www.hcadvocacy.org/defensor) to receive important updates on policy issues as well as easy methods for contacting local and state legislators about important issues.

Mountain Family Health Centers provides health services to all in our community without regard to their income, insurance status, citizenship or immigration documentation. We have provided this care for nearly 40 years, and will continue to do so.

We are well aware some of our patients now fear for their future in this country after the recent issuance of federal Executive Orders regarding immigration, and the expansion in United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions. Recent health care proposals in Congress have also raised questions for many.

With news changing almost daily, it can be difficult to keep up. Mountain Family will share the best resources we can find, updating them regularly as new information becomes available. Reliable sources of legal information on immigration include:
