Kaiser Permanente in Edwards is now providing radiological services to Mountain Family Health Centers patients who do not have the means to pay for them. “Living in this community, we know the unique needs that exist,” says Kaiser Permanente Internal Medicine provider Dr. Jeannine Benson, MD. “We are so honored to provide these services while serving the community together with Mountain Family Health Centers. Our collective work offering these services to the uninsured elevates community wellness and Kaiser Permanente’s commitment to Eagle County.”

Rolled out in October of 2018, this new program provides basic X-rays for Mountain Family patients who would otherwise not be able to afford them. The process takes approximately 30 minutes. The basic X-ray is taken, images are sent to Kaiser Permanente in Denver, read by a Kaiser Permanente radiologist and results are then returned to patient and provider.

The pilot program is being conducted exclusively in Edwards with Mountain Family. The first patient to receive these services was seen on October 29th, 2018.

“This is such an exciting partnership and opportunity for our patients” said Edwards Site Medical Director, Jenny Lang. “This program and Kaiser Permanente’s e-Consult program allow our patients to receive the specialty services they urgently need.”

The Kaiser Permanente medical office in Edwards is located at 56 Edwards Village Boulevard, Suite 206, above the bakery and cafe Hovey & Harrison.
