Lucia Padilla

Lucia Padilla is the General Counsel at Colorado Mountain College. Prior to taking on this role in 2023, she served as a Senior Assistant Attorney General within the Colorado Attorney General’s Office primarily practicing state and federal employment law and litigation. She has also held roles in private practice and as in-house counsel within the telecommunications and healthcare industries.

In her role as General Counsel, Lucia provides legal counsel and advice to the Board of Trustees and senior leadership concerning the wide range of legal and regulatory issues that arise at the College. She serves as the principal administrative liaison to the Board of Trustees and provides legal counsel and support for college-wide governance matters. She also provides strategic advice around the development of college-wide policies, programs, and initiatives.

She received her JD from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and her BA from Cornell University. In her free time, Ms. Padilla enjoys running, mountain biking, skiing, and spending time with her husband and three children.
