Kelly Medina

Occupation: Director of Human Resources, Pitkin County
Kelly Medina-Pacheco is the Interim Director of Human Services for Pitkin County, where she leads strategic initiatives, community partnerships, policy development, and human services operations that support children, families, older adults, and vulnerable populations. She is passionate about building responsive, equitable systems that strengthen community well-being and improve access to services across health, education, and human services sectors.
With more than a decade of leadership experience in public health, human services, education, and nonprofit organizations, Kelly has led multidisciplinary teams, managed complex public programs and funding streams, and cultivated partnerships that address social determinants of health and advance positive outcomes for individuals and families. Her work focuses on health equity, behavioral health, family and community resilience, economic mobility, and integrated systems of care.
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado Mountain College and a Master of Public Health from the Colorado School of Public Health. She has served on regional and statewide advisory groups focused on public health, early childhood systems, maternal and child health, family support, and community well-being.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
