Chris is the Chief Population Health Officer for Vail Health and the Executive Director of Eagle Valley Behavioral Health at Vail Health. Before leading the Population Health strategy and the Behavioral Health Service Line at Vail Health, he was the Director of Eagle County Public Health and Environment. Chris and his wife Corina live in Eagle with their two children and are the founders and owners of Endorphin, a functional fitness chain offering indoor cycling, HIIT, and yoga with four Colorado locations. Chris is also the founder and co-owner of Bounce Stapleton, Denver’s largest recreational gymnastics facility. Before moving to Eagle, Chris was the Director of Colorado’s Public Health Emergency Preparedness Division and led Colorado’s obesity and prevention efforts as the Director of Prevention at the State Health Department from 2003 – 2014. Chris’s education and passion revolve around improving the population’s health, emergency response, and wellness. Chris is a decorated combat veteran, receiving a Bronze Star and Presidential Citation while leading troops in Iraq in 2005.
