At Mountain Family Health Centers, our Guiding Principles help us foster a warm, welcoming work environment and a patient-centered culture. To us, diversity means continuously evolving into a more equitable, just, and inclusive organization for our employees, patients, and the community. We welcome everyone through our doors and embrace all backgrounds. As a patient at Mountain Family, you can trust that your providers are trained to listen, empathize, and support you throughout your entire healthcare journey.
Our Human Resources department has been instrumental in advancing the knowledge of the LGBTQ+ community with our entire staff to foster and support an inclusive workplace culture. All staff participate in an LGBTQIA+ Health training through the National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center during their first week of work at Mountain Family. The DIBEE (Diversity, Inclusivity, Belonging, Engagement, Equity) Committee, a collective effort that includes both staff and members of our Board of Directors, actively seeks ways to make further impacts amongst our staff and community.
In June, Mountain Family was present at both Pride in the Park, organized by Mountain Pride and at Glenwood Springs Pride, organized by Cook Inclusive. We are so grateful for the opportunity to be present in our communities, supporting our patients and staff, and joining in for such fun events.
