A child gives a provider a high five.

Emily McGavin, Director of Development

I recently had the opportunity to tour the Avon School-Based Health Center (SBHC) and meet the dedicated pediatrics care team caring for our young patients. The separate dedicated entrance at Avon Elementary School to the east of the main entrance is easy to spot and offers patients convenience and privacy. This is the only SBHC in Eagle County and the only center in the Mountain Family network located in an elementary school. Before making an appointment, parents need to register their children and may choose to give their consent to not be present during the visit. Youth from 0-20 years old can receive integrated medical, dental, and behavioral health care with same-day appointments often available, and you don’t need to be a student of Avon Elementary.
