Mariposa Awards

February 2024: Annette Franta, Interim CEO and CFO

I nominate my esteemed boss, Annette Franta, for this month’s Mariposa honor.  She is pure class and has handled the interim CEO and full-time CFO jobs with grace.  Her steadfast principles make her a rock for Mountain Family Health Centers.  Furthermore, she exemplifies the values we cherish, and her contagious laughter makes the workplace an absolute joy.  Last, but not least, Annette’s dedication to training me and answering a thousand questions has been invaluable, as it has been for so many other MFHC staff.  Annette, here’s to another 1,000 questions!

–Steve Leazer, Director of Finance

March 2024: Aracely Solis, Lead Dental Assistant

It is my pleasure to nominate Aracely Solis for the Mariposa award. I have worked with Aracely for the past 7+ years and have always found her dependable, efficient, and punctual. Her willingness to take on difficult situations/cases has always impressed me. Aracely became an EDDA last year and is taking full advantage of it. She has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in all aspects of her job. Aracely is a team player and always very generous with her patients. Thank you for all you do for the Dental team Aracely!

April 2024: Jaime John

I’d like to nominate Jaime John for this month’s Mariposa award. Jaime has been such a tremendous addition to our provider at team at MFHC – her personal commitment to her patients is evident in the attentive and thorough care that she delivers all day every day. No matter how demanding her already busy schedule might be, Jaime gives the best of herself to each of her patients. Jaime has caught some of the rarest and/or most difficult diagnoses in Pediatrics due to her fastidious and complete care. Each of her patients is incredibly lucky to have a provider that so committed to excellence. I am proud to count her as a colleague. I look forward to continuing to learn from her and hope to channel her passion within our department and to the organization. Congratulations Jaime on this recognition that is so well-deserved.

–Kendra Nagey, CPNP-PC, Director of Pediatrics
