By Mountain Family Health Centers

Community Health Centers are requesting five years of extended funding, with modest increases over time to allow for growth for health centers and essential workforce programs. If passed, this would ensure health centers’ ability to expand services to low-income uninsured populations, recruit and retain high quality staff, and secure lending for expansion projects. This includes Mountain Family’s continued integrated medical, dental, and behavioral health care for more than 21,000 people. A five-year plan eliminates the uncertainty caused by year-to-year, and now month-to-month, renewals of this critical investment in access to care.

If you haven’t already, please contact your member of Congress and ask him or her to approve long-term funding. This link offers a few easy ways reach out. Congressional representatives for the Mountain Family Health Centers service area in Pitkin, Eagle, Garfield, and Rio Blanco counties include:
Senator Michael Bennet
Senator Cory Gardner
Representative Scott Tipton
Representative Joe Neguse
