Dustin serves as the Center for Improving Value in Healthcare’s (CIVHC) Director of State Initiatives. His role requires that he understand the national, regional, and state All-Payer Claims Database landscape and he leads efforts to engage stakeholders across the country for more comprehensive claims data collection and analysis. Prior to joining CIVHC, Dustin had spent 15 years engaged in health policy, advocacy, and philanthropy. He was most recently on staff with the Colorado Health Foundation where he served as a Policy and Advocacy Officer and then a Program Officer. He has also worked for Kansas Medicaid, the Colorado Department of Health are Policy and Financing, and the Denver office of Senator Michael Bennet. He has a Master of Public Policy from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Washburn University. Dustin lives in Glenwood Springs with his wife, Amy, and their son, Miles. He enjoys skiing, running trails, reading, and fly fishing in his free time.
